Project Summary
Project A3 (Arnold/Lämmermann) applies “Advanced imaging of dynamic ECM-cell interactions using genetically encoded live-reporters during cell migration in development and in adult tissues”. Novel extracellular matrix (ECM) reporter alleles in mouse were developed that allow for visualization of cell-ECM interactions. These are used to study basement membrane invasion during EMT at gastrulation and for functional studies of cell-ECM interactions for the mesenchymal and amoeboid migration of macrophages within their native, adult tissue environments using advanced in vivo live microscopy.
